Boston Massacre
In 1768, Parliament sent more soldiers to Boston because they were worried about arguments over taxes. Some colonists were angered over this. On March 5, 1770, a group of Bostonians began throwing sticks and snowballs at the British soldiers. The soldiers opened fire on the colonists, killing five. The first man to be killed was a black black man named Crispus Attucks. This incident caused even more anger towards the British.
